Specialty Area

I am an Assistant Professor of Elementary Education in the Department of Teacher Education, Leadership, & Counseling. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in elementary education, science and STEM teaching methods, and online teaching/digital technologies. My areas of expertise and research include (critical) digital pedagogy, digital technologies, and elementary education. I am also the STEM Teaching P-12 Endorsement Coordinator for the TLC Department.

Biography

I served as an elementary classroom teacher in the Illinois public schools for 11 years and worked as an adjunct professor at Illinois State University for three years. I joined the faculty at Columbus State on a part time basis in Summer 2020 and full time beginning in Fall 2020.
