The Teaching as a Profession Career Pathway Program is designed to recruit the best and brightest to the teaching profession and to maximize opportunities for students to be better prepared for their next step in the education and career planning process. At a time when teachers are in great demand, this experience provides prospective teachers an opportunity to be a part of a profession that shapes the future on a daily basis. As part of this program, high school students take three courses that provide an introduction to education and the teaching profession as well as practical experience in an elementary classroom setting. Students who successfully complete the three courses listed below may receive college credit for EDUC 2110 Critical Issues in Education upon acceptance into the Teacher Education Program at Columbus State University.
